Alfredo Ortiz, coordinator of the european project “EAPA_204/2016 – “Atlantic Network for Renewable Generation and Supply of Hydrogen to Promote High Energy Efficiency”, participated in the BSH-UC Day, that took place on February 12th, 2020 in the BSH facilities, located in Santander (Cantabria, Spain), were he delivered the talk “Potential of Hydrogen in the energy mix home supply”.
Ulemco has participated in the hydrogen event for energy, industry and mobility “Hyvolution” celebrated in Paris (France) on February 4-5, 2020. During their visit to Paris they were guests ab the Brittish Ambassador to France residence in Paris. They took their van along and had the ambassador inteviewed while sitting in the van.
Alfredo Ortiz delivered a talk to secondary students in Santa Clara High School, in which he highlighted the importance of chemistry in the society and in the industrial and academic sector of Cantabria, using examples related to the topics that they study at school. Moreover, he talked about his experience coordinating the European project HYLANTIC: ATLANTIC NETWORK FOR RENEWABLE GENERATION AND SUPPLY OF HYDROGEN TO PROMOTE HIGH ENERGY EFFICIENCY (FEDER). The event took place on December 19th, 2019.
COVID-19 INFORMATION UPDATE
Due to the current situation of COVID-19 around the world, the International Summer School in Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Technology has been postponed to next year.
New dates will be announced soon!
It is a pleasure to announce the celebration of the International Summer School in Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Technology, that will be held in Porto, next June 22-26, 2020. The purpose of this event, organized in the frame of HYLANTIC project, is to bring together leading researchers interested in discussing challenges, recent progress, future perspectives and emerging applications in Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Technology.
Rafael Ortiz, researcher of HYLANTIC project, is currently developing a predoctoral research stay at the Institut für Energie- und Klimaforschung, IEK-3: Technoökonomische Systemanalyse“ of the Research Centre “Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH”, in Germany. From November 1st,2019 to January 31st, 2020, he will work in energy systems modelling for the estimation of hydrogen regeneration in the Atlantic area by using renewable energies, under the supervision of Martin Robinius and Heidi Heinrichs.
Víctor Manuel Maestre, MSc in Industrial Engineering, has joined the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department, as staff of the project “HYLANTIC: Atlantic network for renewable generation and supply of hydrogen to promote high energy efficiency (FEDER)” principal investigator: Alfredo Ortiz.
